I feel like we run into this every time one of our kids starts a new school or classroom:
Someone wants to organize a get together with all the kids, but it ends up being a cluster with coordinating times, passive aggressive emails about who can do when, and eventually fizzles out. for example, someone emails all the parents "hey, it'd be great to get a group together before school starts, can everyone do XYZ date?" most people reply with "yes!" and one person replies with "no, but how about this date" and then it devolves and fizzles out. It feels like this shouldn't be an issue, but I see this happen Every. Year. Anyone else?
What scheduling tools does everyone use to make this easier? Or any other way about it?
This is always a struggle with my friend group. I find that no date will ever work for everyone so I started throwing out a date and saying whoever can make it, great, and those who can’t we will see you at the next one. This way people try their best to just make it happen.
We have used Calendly to try to find dates for a big group.
