What helps you to relax in high stress moments?

For me, meditation is usually my go-to for many things, but when sitting still feels difficult I like to use ‘grounding’ techniques. One of those techniques for me is going outside and placing my hands on the earth while taking three  d  e  e  p  breaths.

It helps me to get back to the moment. I like to call it “grounding”. It’s my way of remembering I can always come back to the “right now” moment and calm my nervous system. 😌😌

What about you? When you feel stressed or mentally overwhelmed, what’s an activity or something you do to help you “ground” or relax your nervous system?

Look at the shape of leaves on a nearby bush or tree.  Bonus relaxation when I see heart shaped leaves.
