Sometimes the start of the year begins with us being hard on ourselves and judging what we should do and what we shouldn’t do and trying to take back the mistakes of the year prior to be a better person and it’s important to first and foremost…BE PRESENT. So take that deep breath, be mindful, sit in silence, think, walk away from that task list and sit with a cup of tea (or whatever your preference) and read that book you may have been putting off in fear of seeming “lazy”. Any little way you can find to truly be present. Choose mindfulness. Our society has us so hard on ourselves running from task to task but what we really need to do is the opposite and find a moment to sit in stillness. Namaste.
