Q: Tell us a little about yourself!

I'm a Pilates instructor and CEO-Founder of Lindywell, a global wellness company helping women embrace a “grace over guilt” approach to health and fitness through Pilates, breathwork, and nourishment. I spend my time leading our Lindywell team and hanging out with my favorite people—my husband and our four small kids.

Q: How did you get started?

I was working a very stressful 9-to-5 job and struggling with paralyzing anxiety for the first time in my life. My body ached, my mind race, and I felt terrible. On top of that, I struggled with my body image and could never stay consistent with workouts in the way that I wanted to. On a whim, I signed up for a Pilates class. I can still remember the feeling of tension melting away as I connected my mind to my body, slowed down, and actually listened to what my body needed and craved. After a few months of classes, I enrolled in a comprehensive Pilates teacher training course. I taught in studios, corporate settings, and private homes for years. Eventually, I started filming classes with my iPhone and posting them on my blog as a way to better serve my clients and help more women gain access to the Pilates method.

Q: What’s your favorite Athleta product?

Hands-down, the Ultra High Rise Elation Tight

Q: What are you most proud of in your career?

I'm most proud of serving members of the Lindywell community in more than 100 countries around the world—and being named "Best Pilates App" by Women's Health Magazine! I’m also proud of Lindywell’s “Stronger Body, Calm Mind” challenge starting March 14. It consists of 14 days of at-home Pilates workouts and guided breathwork sessions.

Q: What’s your best piece of advice for others in your field?

Focus on serving in the best way you can. The fitness world can be noisy, and there's a lot of opportunities and distractions that can get in the way of what matters most. I've found that I get the most fulfillment out of my work by offering encouragement, a listening ear, a thoughtful message, or going out of my way to help connect people with the help they need.

Q: How can we stay in touch?

I'd love for you to join me and the amazing Lindywell team for Pilates, breathwork, and nourishment in the Lindywell app!
