Just thought I'd pop in to see how everyone is doing. I just scheduled an appointment to have my xmas lights installed and it hit me that we are officially entering into the holiday season.  I know that can come with lots of mixed emotions, so chime in below! I'd love to send some positive energy or words of encouragement your way 🙂

I love the holiday season, but I always feel some pressure to make the most of it and pack as much fun as I can in! I find it hard to remember to set aside down time to relax, but I also get holiday FOMO and want to do all the things. Would love any advice on managing this balance.

I am right there with you. I actually kind of hate the day after Christmas, lol! So, I am someone who believes that self-care can look different for everyone. For some (possibly you) self-care may actually look like doing all of the things. It may be hard for you to remember to relax because your spirit is being fed in a different way :). That said, I would recommend the following:

  1. Let your bedtime routine be the cherry on top of your busy days. Along with a nice hot shower, incorporating your favorite body scrubs, candles, and tea, etc. are all good ways to intentionally decompress at the end of the day.
  2. Be clear on your limitations/boundaries; try to focus on doing the things that feel good for you. 
  3. Consider proactively scheduling an end of year PRD a.k.a. Personal Retreat Day.  Nothing fancy. Just a day after most of the festivities have died down, that allows you to disconnect and replenish your energy. I'll talk about. this more in some of my upcoming content!

I love Christmas but sometimes I feel greedy getting al of these things while other people don’t get a lot. Do you have any suggestions on how I can bless people in need around me?
