AthletaWell is a safe place for women where we connect in conversation, movement, and shared experience to navigate our well-being journey. We’re at our best when we’re supporting and learning from each other. Plus, we have expert Guides to help guide the way.

Let's get started with some intros. Tell us about yourself or check out other people's intros in the comments below. Where are you from? What's your favorite way to move? What are you proud of or struggling within wellness? You might find a familiar story or meet a new friend.

After you’ve shared a little, scroll the homepage for more conversations, like posts and replies that resonate, or even start your own.

And finally, it's important to us that you know you are welcome here, no matter your goals or where you are in your well-being journey. At the end (and beginning) of the day, we all want to feel good in our body and our mind. We can’t wait to meet you.

Hello! My name is Elizabeth and I’m from southeastern Pennsylvania. I’m a registered nurse with a masters degree in nutrition and wellness and I’m launching a wellness coaching business at the end of August. I’m on a personal mission to improve my own wellness and Athleta has been a huge part of my journey. Athleta’s clothes make me feel supported when I am working out and also while I am doing every day life. I’m excited to be part of this group!

Hi elizabeth! Nice to meet you! I just joined this wellness community too! Good luck w you new wellness coaching biz!

Im a nurse as well. Wellness is a big part of our profession. Nice to meet you!

Hello! My name is Tracy Shore and I'm from southeast Michigan.  I'm a certificate elementary/early childhood teacher.  On the side, more as a hobby, I have been a Zumba instructor since 2008.  I vary my workouts from Zumba, of course, weight training, cardio/HIIT, functional strength, walking, and a little running...more of a jog but not for long distances.  Working out is my stress relief and keeps me mentally stable.

Hi Tracy, Nice to meet you!

Vickie

Hi Tracy - just joining and also from SE Michigan. : )

Hi! My name is Katherine and I'm from Atlanta, GA. I'm an ACE-certified Health Coach. I love strength training and running. My struggles with wellness come when I'm injured and can't work out. Also, I'm just entering that beloved season of perimenopause and figuring out how this is changing my body. I love helping women take the time needed to care for themselves again after some neglect from raising a family. I'm excited to see what this group is all about.

I have found that "what to expect during menopause" is the book needed....so little information and so long for you to get into "full" menopause.   I had NO IDEA--hang in there but I really appreciated your post.

Thank you for the book Dollys. I am going to check out the book as I’m also in this phase of life and it is seldom discussed.

Hi Sammi, I read your introduction and I think the conversations linked above may be helpful for you to check out! Feel free to comment in them as well, we are all in this together!

@tapdaisy

We have a lot in common!

Hi Katherine I also live near Atlanta. I love coaching women in their spiritual lives but also encouraging them to be physically healthy.

Good point Katherine. We really do give it "all" when the family is growing. I am seeing it with my children as they raise their own little ones now. I am saying the things my Mom would say to me....(take some time for yourself, go on dates with your spouse, have a life of your own outside of the house)LOL

Hi Katherine, So nice to learn about you and everyone here. Try looking into Dr. Stacy Sims and her books and classes on menopause for female athletes. I find the information to be extremely helpful!

Love Stacy Sims!

Hi!  My name is Jobeana and I'm from Long Island, NY.  I am an exercise physiologist and a certified health coach.  I enjoy all forms of exercise, especially running, weight training and barre.  I also love and fully believe in incorporating meditation into one's day.  It is such a great way to get centered and focused for the day ahead or at the end of a long day, a great reminder to unwind, and decompress through breathing.  I love that Athleta has created this space... it is so important to have a community, hold space for one another and offer support and celebration!  I'm really looking forward to this community.  🙂

Hello!  I'm a Mama of 3 little ones located in NJ.   I hold a BFA in Modern Dance and am also a Women's Fitness Specialist, Nutrition Coach and Prenatal/Postpartum Fitness Specialist but BARRE is my jam!!

I love how Athleta has continued to empower women beyond just having great clothes!  I've set a goal to bring fitness and health to women and children who may not have access to do so and I am honored to  join a local Women's Domestic Abuse program to help guide the women there to become more confident, strong and provide support.

I’m in NJ too, I moved from Sussex County to Burlington County 2 years ago.  What part of NJ are you in?  I love that you are working with a domestic abuse program I would love to do something like that.

Hi! I'm Stephanie from Chicago, IL. I own a small business that makes and sells natural products for pain relief, exercise recovery, sleep and rejuvenation (it's called Asutra and is actually available at Athleta!).  We believe self care isn't selfish, it's important. I love Pilates, weight / cross training, and hiking. Movement also helps me sleep well, one of my favorite wellness practices. Excited that Athleta has created this space and looking forward to hearing more from others.

Just checked out your business! Will definitely be purchasing for the back aches I get from working as a nurse. What one do you recommend for that? The melt pain away? Thanks for sharing!

Hi! First, thanks for all you do as a nurse -- we are grateful! I'd definitely recommend the Melt Pain Away. The magnesium helps with cramps and overall wellness, and the capsaicin has a warming effect, especially with hot weather, hot shower, etc. Make sure to wash your hands after applying because of the capsaicin. We also have a menthol version, Relieve Your Pain, on our site if you like cooling better. Love to hear your feedback once you try it!

Hi Stephanie!

I also reside in Chicago!  I am a yoga teacher--teach both private and group classes.  I also work in the fashion business.   I did a styling event with a canine companion group at Athleta on Oak St in Chicago.

Fitness has always been an integral part of my life--I do believe "strong body, strong mind" has some weight! Couldn't agree more, sound sleep is a major component of a healthy lifestyle.  Karen

Hi Kare! We are very aligned on mind, body and soul wellness. We at Asutra love working with yoga teachers. I'd love to learn more about your yoga instruction.  Do you have a website or Instagram where I can learn more?

Hi AthletaWell community! So happy to be here and can't wait to meet some new amazing women. I'm Casey and live in San Francisco. It's nice to "meet" so many active and wellness focused members on this chain.

Admittedly, I don't prioritize my own wellness enough (I hear this ALL the time from my friends). With a crazy work schedule, combined with working in my family's business, the boundaries between work and self feel like almost non existent right now. It's tough to even prioritize eating lunch most days! But my friends lift me up and remind me to take walks and get fresh air and move my body in gentle ways that feel good to me.

Community, family and friends are so important to my well-being, and I'm hoping to find more ways to move and tips for creating sustainable balance from connections here.

Hey there! I’m Andrea, and I live in Naperville Illinois. I am an attorney by day, but I have a passion for staying active, whether it’s in the gym, yoga, or hiking and exploring with my pups. I am looking forward to connecting and sharing experiences with everybody!

Hello! I'm Amanda from Chicago, Illinois. In addition to being a wife and mom, I am a creative brand strategist – helping brands tell their stories verbally and visually across all platforms. Like a few others here, I struggle to prioritize my health, but recently discovered a love for rowing. I love getting up before the sun to row, finding a few moments of calm and meditation. In joining this group, I hope to find inspiration and insights from others on how they balance wellness in their busy lives.

Athleta has been my go-to lifestyle and fitness brand for many years. My job can be physical (in-store installs are my favorite!) and Athleta allows me to look professional and well-styled while allowing for wide-range movement. The technical fabrics and styles are perfect for clocking my morning meters or hanging out at the rink watching my son tend net.

Looking forward to seeing how Athletawell develops as a community.

Welcome Amanda!

Hi everyone!  My name is Kathleen; I live in Pennsylvania.  I love being active - especially running, taking classes at my gym and hiking.  A lot of my wardrobe is Athleta, especially the last year and a half since I've been working from home (I will miss this when I return to the office in September).   I'm trying to work on stress reduction, eating better (especially cutting down on stress eating) and doing more weight training.

Hi all. I'm Sammi. I'm from Connecticut. I'm a teacher and a track coach and a proud mama of two boys. I love to run long distances, as my primary exercise is running. I'm often plagued by injuries though, and so a lot of the time,  my workouts come from the comfort of  home. I'm peri-menopausal and desperately trying to lose 20 lbs. I've gained in the last year.. so that's my current goal. I'd love to have help, if anyone has any suggestions.

Excited to read about others in this forum. Athleta always has such great ideas!

Hi Tapdaisy, welcome!
