Have you been low on energy and need pick me up? Try using visualization (or mental imagery) to take yourself back to one of your favorite days.  All you need is 10 minutes and a quiet place to get the energy boost you need a find a little bit of peace at the same time.


  1. Find a quiet space where you will be uninterrupted for at least 10 minutes, close your eyes and take a few deep breaths and allow yourself to just be.
  2. Bring to the forefront of your mind one of your favorite days.  A day that brought you joy and ease and begin to visualize it in your mind.  See the day through your eyes as if it is actually happening again.
  3. See the day with as much detail as possible and allow yourself to step back into that day in your mind sending your energy there to give it life. 
  4. Make the memory multi-dimensional by using all of your senses. Try and taste the meal, smell the flowers, feel the sun on your skin, the breeze in the air, see the colors of the sky.  Whatever you can remember about that day that made it so magical.
  5. Stay in your day for as long as you like and when you are ready, take a large deep breath open your eyes and enjoy the rest of your day.
